This is a simple website to help keep family and friends updated with Vivian's status and ongoing fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Viv was diagnosed with AMKL on Thursday, July 20, 2017. After weeks of fevers, joint pain, and anemia, the doctors at University Hospital's Rainbow Children's finally diagnosed her with the cancer.

After a successful bone marrow transplant in 2017 Viv remained in remission for nearly two years. In Spring of 2019 a chloroma (tumor) was found in her sinus cavity. She received targeted radiation and seemed to be okay. But in September of 2019 a bone marrow biopsy revealed her cancer had returned.

She will be going through more intense rounds of chemotherapy and another bone marrow transplant in an effort to mitigate this disease once and for all.
